Game day, date night, or random Tuesday - nachos are always a good idea. But we couldn’t resist giving them a Saucey twist! Instead of the usual beef or chicken, we went with tender salmon and our Spicy Garlic Sauce for that irresistible smoky-sweet kick.

Spicy Garlic Salmon Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (or four 4-oz) salmon fillets

  • 4 tablespoons Spicy Garlic Sauce

  • Large tortilla chips or broken tostada

  • 15 oz. kidney or black beans, rinsed and drained (or use a mix of beans, lentils, or edamame if you prefer)

  • About 1 cup shredded cheese blend of your choice

Toppings

  • Guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce or cabbage, sliced jalapeños, chopped scallions, or diced tomatoes

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Brush Spicy Garlic Sauce over the meat side of the salmon fillets.

    • For extra heat and a touch of sweetness, mix in Hot Habanero Ketchup.

    • Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, line another baking sheet with a silicone mat or foil.

    • Spread a layer of tortilla chips evenly.

    • Sprinkle beans evenly over the chips.

  4. Remove the salmon from the oven and shred it with a fork (leaving the skin behind).

    • Drain on paper towels if desired.

    • Arrange shredded salmon evenly over the chips and beans.

    • Sprinkle cheese evenly on top (just enough to hold everything together).

  5. Bake again for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese melts.

  6. Top with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.

For a milder version, try using Sweet Ginger or Fresh Lemon Sauce instead.
