Vietnamese Pork Burger

Inspired by Andrew Zimmern (Andrew Zimmern Cooks), here’s our favorite Vietnamese pork burger recipe – it’s super quick, easy & ridiculously flavorful by using Spicy Garlic and Sweet Ginger Sauce. It’s the perfect burger recipe for flavor junkies looking to switch things up.


Serves 4


Ingredients:

Vietnamese Pork Burger

  • 1 ½ lb ground pork

  • 2 T Sweet Ginger Sauce

  • 2 T Spicy Garlic Sauce

  • 3 T cilantro, minced

  • 1 kaffir lime leaf, julienned

  • ¼ C breadcrumbs

  • 4 soft buns

  • Leaf Lettuce

  • 4 sprigs each of cilantro and mint for garnish


Pickled Carrots & Daikon


Method:


  1. In a medium bowl, combine carrot, daikon radish, and Sweet Ginger Sauce.

  2. Stir, cover, and put in the fridge until ready to use.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine pork, Sweet Ginger Sauce and Spicy Garlic Sauce, cilantro, and kaffir lime. Form into 4 patties.

  4. Butter the buns and toast lightly on the grill, or in a sauté pan.

  5. Grill the burgers for 3 to 4 minutes per side.

  7. Top burgers with lettuce and the quick-pickled carrot and daikon.

  8. Garnish with sprigs of cilantro and mint.
